Internet Explorer

For Internet Explorer is it advised to reset your browser to default settings. When we tested the VideoSaver Adware the BHO (Browser Helper Object) for Internet Explorer was managed. This means it cannot be removed as the remove button is grayed out.

  1. Open Internet Explorer
  2. goto “wrench” icon in top right corner
  3. Select Internet Options
  4. Goto tab Advanced
  5. Select Reset button
  6. Enable Delete personal Settings (this is important)
  7. Click Reset button
  8. Restart Internet Explorer

Google Chrome

  1. Open Google Chrome
  2. type in the address bar: http://chrome:extensions or (Goto the 3 stripes in the top right corner, select Settings and on the left side: Extensions)
  3. Remove Video-Saver-1 1.25.6 by clicking the trash can icon, right next to the browser extension.
  4. Restart Google Chrome

  4. Scroll down to the end of the page, search for + Show advanced settings
  5. Scroll down once again to the end of the page and click Reset browser settings button
  6. Click Reset once more

Reset Mozilla Firefox to default settings

  1. Open Mozilla Firefox
  2. Goto the orange Firefox button in the top left
  3. Select Help > Troubleshooting information
  4. Select Reset Firefox
  5. Confirm Reset Firefox
  6. Select Finish
  7. Mozilla Firefox will automatically restart
