Update: Mozilla Firefox 72.0.2 – What’s new?

Firefox has been updated to Firefox version 72.0.2. What’s new in Firefox?

firefox logoIn Firefox 72.0.2, picture in picture functionality has also been added for Linux and Mac OS users.

Enhanced Tracking Protection has also been improved and Fingerprinting scripts are also blocked in Firefox 72.0.2. Unlike Google Chrome, Firefox has already blocked notification requests. Google Chrome will only get this functionality in a few months we wrote earlier, most likely in Google Chrome 80.

Mozilla writes on their blog that the following stability and bug fixes have been fixed in Firefox 72.0.2.

– Various stability fixes
– Fixed issues opening files with spaces in their path (bug 1601905)
– Fixed a hang opening about:logins when a master password is set (bug 1606992)
– Fixed a web compatibility issue with CSS Shadow Parts which shipped in Firefox 72 (bug 1604989)
– Fixed inconsistent playback performance for fullscreen 1080p videos on some systems (bug 1608485)
