Open the Firefox web browser. Click on the menu button in the upper right corner in Firefox. Select Options from the list.
In the left menu, click Search. The Search settings in Firefox will now open. Under the heading “Search bar” select the option: Add search bar in toolbar.
In the header “Default Search Engine” select Google from the list.
You have now set the Firefox web browser to search with the Google search engine by default.
Changing One-Click Search Engines in Firefox
If you have activated the search bar in Firefox, you can choose to search with another search engine from Firefox for once.
In the search bar, you click on the magnifying glass, enter your search query, and select the search engine from the search bar.
To change the list of one-click search engines, proceed as follows.
Open the Firefox web browser. In the menu in the upper right corner, click Options.
In the left menu, click Search. Under the heading “One-Click Search Engines” you check the search engines whether or not you want to show them in the list of one-click search engines in the Firefox search bar.
