Recently, security researchers have again discovered Adware in the Google Play Store, which has been downloaded millions of times. A total of 9 million downloads came from 111 Android applications only in the Google Play Store.
The Adware that could be downloaded from the Google Play Store caused unwanted advertisements and was aware of security researchers like me.
Adware in the Google Play Store had taken measures to prevent detection, so the Adware was able to show ads only 24 hours after installation, and the application icon was hidden.
By hiding the application icon and show ads only 24 hours after installation, the adware developer tried to prevent detection.
Security company Trend Micro reports that Google has removed the adware applications from the Google Play Store. Trend Micro detects the Android adware as AndroidOS_HiddenAd.HRXAA and AndroidOS_HiddenAd.GCLA.
The adware applications were disguised as Camera and Games applications.
