The Android version of Chrome was the most widely used browser in the world last in 2019. The desktop version of Chrome finished second, with Safari for iPhone third.
Chrome for Android now has a market share of 33 percent. The desktop version accounted for 23.71 percent, followed by Safari for iPhone with just over 11 percent.
Because Chrome updates automatically, Chrome 78 has the largest market share at 23 percent. Chrome 77 also accounted for nearly 3 percent.
Global market shares for Firefox and Internet Explorer continued to decline to 3.15 percent and 1.47 percent, respectively, in 2019. Microsoft Edge has a meager 1.76 percent.
