Learn how to enable fullscreen mode in Google Chrome for Windows and Mac. Sometimes you don’t want to be disturbed by other browser windows or notifications on your Windows computer or Mac. Google Chrome offers a useful option to activate a fullscreen mode in your browser.
After activating fullscreen mode, the Google Chrome menu bar and taskbar for Windows and the Dock for Mac disappear from view. You can then entirely focus on the Google Chrome fullscreen window.

Enable fullscreen mode in Google Chrome for Windows
It is straightforward to activate the fullscreen mode. You can do this in two ways, by clicking on the Zoom option in the Google Chrome menu or by pressing the F11 key on your keyboard.
Open the Google Chrome browser, open the Google Chrome menu and click on the Zoom icon, as shown in the image below.
To exit the fullscreen mode, press the same Zoom icon again from the Google Chrome menu.
If you want to quickly switch to full-screen mode in Windows, simply press the F11 key on your keyboard. Press the F11 key again to exit fullscreen mode.
Enable fullscreen mode in Google Chrome for Mac OS X
If you want to enable fullscreen mode for Google Chrome on your Mac, the same applies as for Windows, click on the Zoom icon in the Google Chrome menu, and press the Zoom icon again to exit the fullscreen mode in Google Chrome for Mac.
If you want to use a shortcut, there is another shortcut available. If you wish to enter fullscreen mode with a shortcut key on Mac, press the CMD + CTRL + F buttons on your Mac keyboard. You can use the same key combination to exit the full screen for Google Chrome on Mac.
