Exchange Google Chrome data between devices (PC, iOS, Android)


Do you use Chrome on different devices? For example, iOS, PC or Android? When you log in with a Google Account, the bookmarks, history, and saved passwords are shown on all your devices.

Browser Chrome is not only available on the computer but also on the smartphone and tablet. Most people with Google Chrome, use the Internet program on multiple devices. Then it is useful to synchronize the browser.ย 

All bookmarks, the browsing history and filled in passwords can then be used everywhere, on all devices.

To sync Chrome, all you have to do is log in with your Google Account if you’re using Chrome on your PC, tablet, or smartphone.ย 

So you need a Google Account to do this.

Exchange browser data between devices with your Google Account

Login to Google Chrome on a computer

Open the Google Chrome browser. Click on the button with the three dots in the upper right corner.

Select Settings from the menu. Click Turn on Sync.

Enter the email address associated with your Google Account. This is often an address that ends in gmail.com.

Click Next to enter your password and click Next.

A synchronization message will open. Click Yes, Enable.

You can use the Internet as usual. The bookmarks you create, as well as the surfing history, are now be saved in your Google account.

Login with Google Chrome on an iPad/iPhone

Open Google Chrome. Tap the button with the three dots.

Tap Settings from the menu.

Tap Continue if [your name] (or tap Choose another account, then select the appropriate account) > Yes, enable. Proceed to the last step.

Is there no Google Account? Then tap Login to Chrome.

If this address is already entered, tap the correct email address, and then tap Continue.

Is the correct email address for your Google Account not yet on the screen? Tap Add Account, then type the email address. Tap Next, enter your password and then tap Next.

A sync message opens. Tap OK understood.

Press done in Chrome for iOS.

You are now logged in. The three-dot button, located in the lower right corner of the screen, takes you to bookmarks and other saved items.



Login Google Chrome on an Android device

Most Android users are automatically logged in to Chrome. This is because the Android OS is from Google, which is also made by Google. Are you not logged in yet? Then follow the steps below.

Open Google Chrome. Tap the menu button with the three dots.

Tap Settings.

If you see the text ‘Synchronization is enabled’, you don’t need to do anything else. You are already logged in to Chrome. If not, you shall probably see your Google Account. Tap Continue if [your name] (or tap Choose another account, then select the appropriate account) > Yes, enable. Proceed to the last step.

Is there no Google Account? Then tap Login to Chrome.

Tap on Add Account. If necessary, enter your smartphone PIN, and then tap Next. Then enter your email address and tap Go or Next. Then enter your password and tap Go or Next > I Agree.

A sync message opens. Tap OK understood.

Tap the left arrow to return to the Internet window.

You are now logged in. The three-dot button in the lower right corner takes you to bookmarks and other saved items.
