Turn off automatic video playback for Safari on a Mac




Some users find it convenient, others find it annoying: automatic video playback in Safari on a Mac.   • Open the Safari browser
  • Open the menu of Safari
  • Goto Preferences
  • Open the tab Websites
  • Select Auto-Play

Now click on the drop-down menu next to “when visiting other websites” and make the desired choice. To always stop AutoPlay for videos in Safari, choose “Never auto-play”. If you want to organize this website, you can use the new website settings in Safari.
