During the Worldwide Developers Conference, Apple introduced a new authentication model. Sign in with Apple allows users to easily sign up to websites and apps.
Sign in with Apple offers users the possibility to easily log into websites and apps using their existing AppleID.
Not only is it easier for the user to login to websites and applications, but it is also extra protection for the designer against fraud user accounts such as bots. Sign in with Apple also offers the user the necessary privacy protection. For example, it is possible that the user logs on via a website, but does not want to share the private e-mail address with the developer.
The user can use Sign in with Apple to use the login process, hide the email address and still receive messages from the developer.
Apple states that the data stored by Sign in with Apple is limited to a user name and email address. Any other data such as online activity and websites or apps to which the user signs up will not be stored or used.
Sign in with Apple is expected in the summer of 2019 as a beta test.
We will have to wait and see if there are any tests.
