AdwCleaner 8 is improved, better Google Chrome cleaning

AdwCleaner, the anti-tool bar and anti-adware program of anti-malware company Malwarebytes, has been given a thorough overhaul.

The code has been partially rewritten so that AdwCleaner has to be more efficient and stable. According to Malwarebytes, the optimizations also form a reasonable basis for future versions of AdwCleaner.

Furthermore, the scanning and cleaning of Google Chrome have been greatly improved in AdwCleaner 8.0. Removing unwanted elements  – search and toolbars, add-ons, and more from Google Chrome are improved. It offers a complete ‘remediation’ of the browser. Firefox scanning has been temporarily disabled and will return to AdwCleaner 8.0.1, which should be released sometime in December, completely revised.

Finally, errors have been fixed in this edition of AdwCleaner, and improvements have been made. Also, Windows XP and Vista are no longer officially supported.
