A pop-up in the Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Edge web browser that presents a notice that your computer is blocked “This computer is BLOCKED” is fake. Your computer has been infected with an adware application or referred from a rogue redirect to the “This computer is BLOCKED” scam pop-up. Various forms of this fraud are active. The “This computer is BLOCKED” pop-up tries to convince you to call a phone number because your computer has shown your computer unwanted activity. This message is fake and is only intended to get you to call a Microsoft Tech Support scam. This fraud was supposedly done by Microsoft Support. However, Microsoft Support would never block your web browser and computer. Furthermore, Microsoft Support will never block your computer with the “This computer is BLOCKED” pop-up at all.
Never call the phone number mentioned in “This computer is BLOCKED” pop-up. The phone number is very expensive, probably not even accessible and the support engineer will try to get you to pay for support that you don’t need at all.
